Boxing is an excellent form of exercise, and it’s also great for both the body and mind. Not only does it teach discipline, but it also gives you an intense cardio workout, while teaching you skills along the way. When it comes to training exercises, there are a few that you will always come across, regardless of what level you are at. It’s crucial that you know what’s what and that you are competent in doing them effectively.
Jumping Rope – This exercise has been around forever, and it’s one of the most used. Warming up with this technique for 15 minutes each day will help increase endurance, your coordination, and also give your legs an excellent workout.
Push-ups – The perfect exercise for your chest, shoulders, and arms; everything you will use when throwing a punch. A good target to work towards would be to complete 20 full push-ups without a break.
Sit-ups – Ideal for strengthening your core and the perfect way to enable you to throw stronger punches.

Planks – You either love or hate them, but one is for sure, they really do test your strength and endurance. Planking works your abs, arms, shoulders, buttocks, and core, so it’s ideal if you want to get into boxing.
Mountain Climbers – If calorie burning is your goal, then this training exercise is the one for you. You can choose the intensity, and it works your triceps, shoulders, and abs.
Burpees – A full-body workout! Burpees will work multiple muscle groups, and doing them will show you just how fit you really are. They aren’t for the faint-hearted!
Leg raises – Combined with other boxing training, this little gem is the hidden killer. A lot of people like to leave these until last, which is why they become even harder.
