Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the one style of fighting that has the most freedom in terms of styles and moves and most represents a real-life fight situation (as much as is possible within a Combat Sport)
Fighters come from all backgrounds to compete in MMA and is one of the reasons it is so intriguing. Gone are the days when you could just be an expert in one discipline and expect to challenge for a title in MMA, good fighters are well rounded in striking such as Boxing and Muay Thai, Takedowns such as wrestling and Judo and Groundwork such as BJJ.
MMA is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and you only have to look at the UFC (the sports premier organisation) to realise how far it has come and how popular it now is.
At Fight City Gym we offer 2-3 classes a week in MMA with either an active fighter or a retired fighter with vast experience in the MMA game. Combined with all the other specialty classes you have everything you need to progress your skills to the next level for competition, improve your self-defence skills or just have an incredibly hard workout in a fun controlled environment.
We also offer seminars from time to time with some of the biggest names in the sport, past seminars include Brad Pickett and Luke Barnatt.
